Today in class...

Well in my internship im taking a class on how to rebuild computers so I had taken notes on words people wouldn't understand without the definition. So i already had a list of key terms so all I had to do was type up my notes paper! That's what I did today in my Grad Project Class.

BIOS- basic in/out system

FORMAT- makes the computer file writeable

Burn In- start computer after setup and keep on for 72 hours so if there is an electrical failure with the computer it will show up in the 72 hours

IDE- Intergraded drive electronics

CPU- Central Processing Unit

RAM- random access memory

SCSI (skuzzy)- small computer system interface

Refurbish- restore something to good repair

Cache memory- RAM

CMOS Battery- battery that includes fdisk and system boot setup

Defragmenter- software utility that rearranges the fragments or discontinuous parts of each file stored on a computer hard disk so that the small, empty storage spaces adjacent to fragments can be used, effectively creating new storage space and possibly making file access faster.
